Brief History
The Moody Gardens Complex was established in Galveston, Texas, in the mid-80s. It began with a horse barn. Then with the Moody Foundation’s efforts, Hope Therapy, a hippotherapy program, started in 1986.
Since then, the Convention Center, Rainforest Pyramid, Discovery Pyramid, Moody Gardens Hotel, and Spa. etc., are added to the complex.
The ten-story high turquoise Aquarium Pyramid was first opened in 1999. It covers 242 acres of the Moody Gardens resort complex. The Pyramid and two other Pyramids are built overlooking Galveston Bay.
It featured the 1.5 million-gallon aquatic attractions showcasing the North Pacific, Tropical Pacific, Caribbean, and South Atlantic Oceanic world.
In 2004, the Hotel and Convention Center Expansion Flexed Exhibit Hall to 60,000 square feet. It is available for various events, whether trade shows, concerts, or large gala dinners.
